Get Your Measuring Tape Ready
It's important to ensure that your new modern furniture can fit into its new home. This guide, created by our team, will help you measure your space to make sure our delivery team can get it through the door and into place.
Your Product Measurements
You can find all product measurements in the product descriptions and the specification tab. Jot these down, as you'll need to refer to them when measuring up.
Packaging
Packaging will add some size for delivery, we recommend adding 5% to each dimension to account for packaging to get an idea of the overall box size.
If things are looking tight, contact the team to ask about specific box sizes.
Sofas
When measuring up for one of our sofas, it's a good idea to add 5cm in each direction to to account for fabric differences.
Getting the Perfect Fit
Use masking tape or newspaper to lay out the size of your product. Whether you're looking at a new sofa, TV stand, or sideboard, this will give you a good indication of whether you are happy with its size.
Navigating Hallways & Internal Doors
We need to make sure your new furniture can fit into the room where you’d like it to go. Measure the width of any areas it must pass through, such as hallways and internal doors at their narrowest points.
Remember to take note of possible obstructions, such as radiators, shelving, skirting boards, and light fittings. As long as the widths at the narrowest points are greater than the smallest product dimension, you’re good to go.
Getting Through the Door
Open your door as wide as possible and measure the distance between the outer edge of the door to the inner edge of your doorframe at its narrowest point. Compare the width of your doorframe with the smallest dimension of the product allowing some wiggle room either side. This will determine if we can take the product through. If the door width is greater than the smallest product dimension, then it will fit through.
